I’ve just watched the film of “Nobody Told Me”. It’s a tremendous achievement. I was deeply moved. The richness and muscularity of your storytelling and your deep understanding of that world really shone through. The Stefan-Halina-Ella triangle worked very powerfully right through the play, as did Fiszel’s death. Halina’s final decision was, as it should be, devastating. I think your director (and creative team) did a great job creating a vivid language of image, movement and sound. And I imagine that she worked with you on the cuts to the script too, which worked very well. You must have been sad to lose Dawid and Pawel, but ultimately this brought everything else into focus. Many very strong performances too. (I especially admired the actor playing Stefan.)
Many congratulations. I’m so glad that you were able to tell this story. And here’s looking forward to future possibilities.
