I found your play by turns very moving, insightful, and unsentimental. The last because it didn’t look for happy endings, instead not flinching away from the fact that there simply couldn’t be any, given the circumstances.
The director did a really very good job, I thought, creating an atmosphere which entirely drew one in. And the actors were excellent. I thought the young woman who played your mother was particularly good, both as a little girl and as an old lady. She really observed your mom well.
Thanks for this, its an important addition to our collective understanding of a most significant moment in history which is still with and in us.
